Long Son Pagoda
One of the main attractions of the nearby city of Nha Trang is the Long Son Pagoda, an unmissable landmark thanks to a huge white statue of Gautama Buddha. The statue is a great vantage point to look out over Nha Trang and the temple also has a lovely garden and impressive adornment on the main ceremonial hall.
Po Ngar Cham Towers
Construction on the Po Ngar Cham temple complex was started in the 8th century by the Cham, an early Hindu empire in central Vietnam. The main tower (Po Ngar Kalan) has a statue inside of goddess Po Ngar on her lotus throne. Located about 2km outside of Nha Trang, there’s a small sh market nearby which is a great place to visit in the early morning, when brightly-colored fishing boats are bringing in their catch.
Doc Let Beach
There’s a glorious private beach at The Anam, but a day trip to Doc Let Beach offers the chance to meet some locals and enjoy a day at the beach like they do. Chairs and tables line the sand rather than beach loungers, and there’s some deliciously cheap local food available. Doc Let is 45km north of Nha Trang and a car can be arranged for your transport to and from the resort.
