The Hotel Mondschein is conveniently located directly on the slopes, offering ski-in/ski-out access for a perfect winter vacation. The impressive ski circuit spans the entire Ski Arlberg area, featuring 85 kilometers of slopes and an altitude difference of 18,000 meters. Skiers can trace the paths of pioneering legends in the sport. With an average snowfall of nine meters each winter and around 70 percent of the slopes consistently snow-covered, Ski Arlberg is recognized as one of the most reliable ski destinations. Winter sports enthusiasts can also take advantage of 87 state-of-the-art cable cars and lifts available in the area.

Stuben serves as an excellent starting point for various cultural and leisure activities in the surrounding area and is highly regarded by families, sports enthusiasts, excursion fans, and mountain lovers.
The village of Stuben am Arlberg dates back to the 13th century and was once a crucial rest stop before crossing the Arlberg Pass. Its name likely comes from a warming hut that provided shelter and comfort to travelers, muleteers, and carters. As early as 1218, the Knights of St. John established accommodations here to offer "fire, water, and shelter" to those passing through, following the directives of Count Hugo I von Montfort. Stuben was first mentioned in a document in 1330 as a post station and referred to as the "Emperor's highest room."
